Tara Shuler, author and cover artist extraordinaire, designed the cover of the next book in the Mark Taylor Series. I wanted something along the lines of March Into Hell because of the title and have it look a little spooky. I think she achieved that, don't you? It fits in with the series nicely.
As for the title itself, I read a review on one of my books, (I think the review is actually for Deeds of Mercy) in which the reviewer mistakenly called March Into Hell, March Into Madness. Wow! Immediately I thought, that is an awesome title for a book! Plus, it tied in nicely with the plot I have going in the latest book. And it's in keeping with my current titles. It's three words, it uses either March or Deed. Only Mark Taylor: Genesis doesn't have either of those words, but then again, as the prequel, it makes sense in that regard.
I'm shooting for a fall release. I wish it was sooner, but this book has not revealed itself all at once like No Good Deed or March Into Hell did. I guess that is the challenge in writing a series. On one hand, I have characters that I love to write about, but thinking up new adventures is the hard part. With No Good Deed, I had an idea for a character, but he didn't take shape until I wrote the book, but the plot was all there and getting it out was just a matter of sitting down to write it.
I'm at the point now, where I love to write the characters and interactions, but I'm just as happy to write scenes where they sit around and chit chat, joke around and have a good time. That does not equal thriller! lol. I have to keep seeking ways to upset their world. Have no fear--I did come up with what I think is a pretty cool plot. It just came to me in bits and pieces instead of all at once.
So, stay tuned!
